In this phase of your healing journey, applying tools and resources is essential. You may have moments when you want to rush the process or when frustration sets in because you aren’t healing “fast enough.” But remember, this is a delicate dance between mind, body, and spirit. Healing requires patience and consistency.
Daily practices like mindfulness, grounding exercises, journaling, or even simply taking deep breaths can help soothe your nervous system and bring you back into the present moment. These tools remind your body that it is no longer in danger, that you no longer have to fight or flee.
Take it one day at a time. Some days, you’ll feel stronger and more balanced, while other days, you might feel like you’re right back where you started. This fluctuation is normal. Healing is not about achieving perfection; it’s about showing up for yourself daily with love, compassion, and grace.
Most importantly, be gentle with yourself. Healing is not a race. The moments when you feel the most frozen or vulnerable are often the times when your body is doing the deepest work.
