Steps To Become Mentally Stable

Here are a lists of 13 steps that helped move my mental health in the right direction.

  1. There will be many times that you will feel alone. In these moments are the times that it is vital to look within yourself and find out if there is anything within you that needs work. Don’t be afraid to even go out to eat by yourself or go to a movie by yourself.
  2. Do not overthink and try to figure anything out. This will just keep you dwelling on it and allow you to become more stuck and drag yourself down even more. Keep moving and time will reveal the answers you are looking for.
  3. One of the biggest things is to not set your expectations to high, when it comes to others. They do not have the same heart as you and 9 out of 10, when your expectations are set to high, they will leave you disappointed.
  4. Do not feel like the world or anyone owes you anything bc no one owes us a thing.
  5. Be patient with yourself and don’t expect immediate results. This is no microwavable fix.
  6. You know that you have a loving heart but stop worrying about pleasing everybody. You are only one person and there will be times that also deserve to be pleased and when there is no one to please you. That energy must be conserved to be able to please even your own self.
  7. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and be confident.
  8. Only control the things that you can control and let go of anything that you cant.
  9. My biggest weakness….do not let others influence your emotions. Remember the way someone treats you, has nothing to do with you but what is going on within themselves.
  10. Celebrate the successes for others
  11. Always see the good in others
  12. Take risk and don’t give up the first time you fail.
  13. Take responsibility of your own actions.
